A Workshop for EU Horizon 2020 Plan Integrated and innovative key actions for mycotoxin management in the food and feed chain was held at IPP-CAAS, Beijing, on 27 June, 2016. The theme of the Workshop was Strengthen the academic exchange and collaboration on mycotoxin between ISPA and IPP, advance the application progress of this project in Chinese side. Dr. QIU Dewen, the DDG of IPP was present at the workshop.

Dr. QIU greeted the international and the domestic participants of the Workshop. Dr. QIU and Dr. Antonio LOGRIECO, the Director General of ISPA (Institute of Sciences of Food Production, National Research Council of Italy), introduced the overviews of the respective institutes. Dr. LOGRIECO briefed also the general situation of the plan Integrated and innovative key actions for mycotoxin management in the food and feed chain (Mycokey) and made a speech entitled Integrated Management of Mycotoxins in Pre- and Post-harvest and Mycokey Solutions. The participants briefed the progress in respective research work. The Chinese and the EU sides discussed fully on the collaboration issues. They decided to hold the closing meeting for the Horizon 2020 Plan in China in 2018.

The success of this Workshop laid a good foundation for the implementation of the multi-lateral collaboration of the Horizon 2020 Plan.

The Workshop was hosted by Dr. WANG Lixia, the Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Graduate Student. Dr. Antonio LOGRIECO, the EU head of the Project and Chairman of International Society for Mycotoxicology, Dr. Giuseppina Mule from ISPA, Dr. FENG Jie, the Chinese head of the Project, Prof. CHEN Wanquan, the Chinese consultant of the Project, the chief scientist of the Innovation Team of Epidemiology and Integrated Control of Crop Fungal Diseases and the President of China Society of Plant Protection were present at the Workshop. Other Chinese participants include Prof. LIAO Yucai from Huazhong Agricultural University, Prof. SHI Jianrong, the Director General of the Institute of Food Quality and Safety and the Testing Technology, Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Prof. ZHANG Qi and Dr. ZHANG Zhaowei from Oil Crops Research Institute, CAAS, Dr. CHEN Yun from Zhejiang University, Drs. KONG Dandan and DOU Xiaowen from the Institute of Medicinal Plant Development, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Profs. ZHOU Yilin and LIU Taiguo and Drs. ZHANG Hao and FAN Jieru from IPP-CAAS.
