On February 3rd, 2018, the annual meeting of 2017 on national key research and development program “Characteristics of fate and limit standard of chemical pesticides in different planting systems in China” hosted by IPP-CAAS was held in Beijing. Academician WU Kongming, Vice President of CAAS, leader of project advisory panel; Mr. NIE Shanming Deputy Director and Director of Division ZHANG Zhao of Project Management department, Science and Technology Development Center, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Mr. WANG Jianqiang, Consultant-Director of the Department of Crop Protection, Ministry of Agriculture; DDG ZHENG Yongquan and other guests attended the meeting. The opening ceremony was chaired by ZHANG Lisheng, Director of Department of Scientific Research Management.
On behalf of the host of the project, DDG ZHENG Yongquan appreciated the help and support from the leaders and experts attending the conference, emphasized the importance and necessity of the meeting. On behalf of professional organization of project management, Mr. ZHANG Zhao put forward the requirements of strengthening the correlation degree of project, innovation degree, contribution degree and display degree in the management of project implementation process. On behalf of industry application department, Mr. WANG Jianqiang stressed the importance of research results docking with application department.
On behalf of project team, Prof. DONG Fengshou introduced the project implementation progress in 2017 and work plan in 2018, each sub-project leader reported on the progress of the work in 2017 and answered questions from the members of the project advisory panel.

Mr. NIE Shanming affirmed achieved phased progress, pointed out the existing problem during project execution, indicated that efforts are needed in connection between projects and sub-projects, making of landmark achievements, strategic planning of project.
On behalf of project advisory panel, Academician WU Kongming put forward the requirements on the origin of ‘Two Deduction’ special project, task settings, implementation requirements and other aspects: project group should make accurate positioning during implementation process, focus on research contents of ‘rules’ and ‘limits’, clear key points of research, accelerate coagulation and development of landmark achievements according to characteristics of fate and limit standard of pesticides in different planting systems.
After the meeting, the leader of the project organized the project executive panel and the representatives of the participating units holding an ardent discussion on the questions and suggestions raised by experts, refining the technology roadmap of the project, and clarifying the focus of future work. The summary meeting achieved the expected effect of ‘summarizing the past and planning for the future’, and had important significance for carrying out future research of the project smoothly.
