From January 19th to 22nd, 2018, the annual meeting of 2017 on national key research and development program “R & D of key technologies and products of synergistic effect of chemical pesticides”, presided by Prof. JIANG Hongyun from IPP-CAAS, was held successfully in Beijing. Academician WU Kongming, the vice president of CAAS, Mr. WANG Jianqiang, Director of Department of the Plant Protection of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), Dr. ZHANG Kai from Science and Technology Development Center of MARA, Prof. ZHENG Yongquan, DDG of IPP, Prof. WU Yidong and Prof. ZHOU Mingguo, the project consulting experts from Nanjing Agriculture University, Senior Engineer Prof. ZHANG Zongjian, the project consulting expert from Central Research Institute of China Chemical Science and Technology, Prof. LI Xiangju, the project consulting expert from IPP-CAAS, and project executive experts team attended the conference. The opening ceremony was hosted by Prof. ZHANG Lisheng, Director of the Department of Scientific Research Management, IPP-CAAS.
On behalf of IPP, the event organizer, DDG ZHENG Yongquan extended the faithful appreciation and gratitude to all the experts and attendees for their great support, and raise concrete requirement for the next step of work. Dr. ZHANG Kai, on behalf of the project management authorities, specified suggestions and requirements in the aspects of process management, achievement exchange, funding expenditure and young talents cultivation, etc. Mr. WANG Jianqiang spoke highly of the research progress achieved since the launch of project, and looking forward to the optimal collaboration between research achievements and application departments, to realize the transformation and application on the platform such as the national modern agriculture demonstration zone, the agricultural competitiveness enhancing the science and technology action implementation zone, the green prevention & control and unified prevention & management merging demonstration base. Academician WU Kongming specially emphasized the vital importance of the background of the “Two-Reduction Special Program”, the target of zero growth of fertilizer and pesticides in 2020 as well as the rural areas revitalization in the new era. He expressed his sincere wish to the standard management of projects and further focusing on main targeted tasks and production demands to make breakthrough in the field of technology of chemical pesticide with synergistic effect through professional management and eventually make great contributions to the green agriculture development and revitalization of rural areas in the future.
After the opening ceremony, Academician WU Kongming, Mr. ZHAO Yonghui, the executive deputy director of ICAMA, Prof. SHEN Youqing from Zhejiang University, Prof. ZHANG Cunzheng from Jiangsu Academy of Agriculture Sciences, Prof. YUAN Huizhu from IPP-CAAS, DING Zili, the general manager of Beijing Cheng Bang Science and Technology Service Co., Ltd. gave the training reports on the topics of “Rural Revitalization and Plan Protection”, “Interpretation of the updated Pesticide Registration Material Requirements”, “Polymer Nano-medicine Design”, “Application and Development Status Quo of Rapid Detection Technology”, “Three-step Methodology of chemical Pesticide Utilization Rate Evaluation” and “National Key Projects R & D Planning and Funding Management Policy from the Perspective of Auditing” respectively, and conducted profound exchanges and sufficient discussions with all the experts and attendees.
During the meeting, the project executive experts team reviewed the project progress of all participating organizations, and the project consulting experts team listened to the work report of the responsible person of every subject. Academician WU Kongming, the consulting expert team leader, Prof. ZHENG Yongquan, the deputy team leader as well as other consulting experts made detailed comments on the respective projects and proposed improving measures. In the closing speech, Prof. JIANG Hongyun, the project chief scientist, extended the heartiest gratitude and appreciation to all the experts for their great support to the project and made specific requirements to the project execution and process management in 2018.

This conference was organized by the IPP-CAAS. A total of over 120 representatives of 33 different participating organizations from the project teams attended the conference.
