IPP-CAAS Reached a S&T Agreement with RIKILT of Wageningen UR
On June 16, 2014, Institute of Plant Protection (IPP) of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) reached an S&T agreement with its counterpart, the RIKILT, an institute engaging in food safety research at Wageningen University & Research Center, during the visit of RIKILT Director General, Robert F. M. van Gorcom to IPP.
The partners, both IPP and RIKILT have maintained a long standing relationship since last decade, as both are SELAMAT (an FP6 project) members from the start, and IPP-CAAS also participated in the Seventh Framework Programme project (FP7 project Collab4Safety -“Towards sustainable global food safety collaboration”), both coordinated by RIKILT.
This Collaboration Agreement provides the basic for further collaboration, project work and staff exchanges. RIKILT and IPP-CAAS will promote scientific cooperation in the field of pesticide residue analysis, biological contamination, GMO, nanoparticles, all in relation to food safety. Both sides will work jointly to identify opportunities for research collaboration and execution of joint projects.
