On March 14, IPP-CAAS signed a memorandum with the College of Plant Protec-tion, Hebei Agricultural University in Beijing to implement the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy. LI Hongkang, DDG of IPP-CAAS, WANG Xinjian, Vice Dean of the College of Plant Protection, Hebei Agricultural University, attended the signing ceremony. DG ZHOU Xueping and DONG Jingao, Dean of the College of Plant Protection, Hebei Agricultural University together signed the memorandum.
In order to rapidly upgrade the level of plant protection disciplines in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, especially in Xiong’an New Area, IPP-CAAS and the College of Plant Protection, Hebei Agricultural University signed a strategic cooperation agree-ment on December 3rd, 2018. Both parties agreed on the terms to fully implement the development concept of "green plant protection and public plant protection" and establish long-term strategic cooperative relations. In order to implement the strategic agreement, WANG Xinjian, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Plant Protection, Hebei Agricultural University, and Prof. DONG Jingao visited IPP-CAAS at the beginning of the spring of 2019. The two sides decided that the College of Plant Protection, Hebei Agricultural University recently appointed outstanding students to conduct internship at IPP, and IPP-CAAS engaged young and middle-aged scientists to participate in the cultivation of postgraduates in Hebei Agricultur-al University. The two sides will regularly carry out academic exchanges in Beijing and Baoding, and IPP-CAAS will strengthen its support for the cultivation of young teachers and subject development in the College of Plant Protection, Hebei Agricul-tural University.
DG ZHOU expressed his acknowledgements to the College of Plant Protection, Hebei Agricultural University, for their support in the postgraduate course of IPP-CAAS. He said that with the implementation of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integra-tion strategy, the distance has been brought closer between IPP-CAAS and the Col-lege of Plant Protection, Hebei Agricultural University. In the future, the coopera-tion between the two parties will be deeper and deeper which will help to promote discipline construction, personnel training and technological innovation.
Prof. ZHANG Jinlin, Vice Dean of the College of Plant Protection, Prof. YANG Zhihui, and LI Tao, Director of the Administrative in the College of Plant Protection from Hebei Agricultural University were present at the meeting. Prof. YUAN Huizhu, Director of the Administrative Office of IPP, Prof. CHEN Julian, Director of Department of International Cooperation and Graduate Students, Dr. ZOU Yafei, Deputy Director of Scientific Research Management Department, Prof. LIU Wende, Director of the Plant Pathology Department, and ZHANG Yongjun, Director of Agricultural Entomology Department from IPP-CAAS attended the meeting. After the meeting, experts from the College of Plant Protection, Hebei Agricultural Universi-ty, also visited the State Key Laboratory of Plant Disease and Pest Biology and the Pesticides Science Department of IPP-CAAS.
