Research Area:

1) Molecular characters and of insect OBPs Odorant binding proteins (OBPs) are important parts of insect olfactory systems, and sensitive olfaction is vital for phytophagous insects in host foraging. Recently, my research focuses on the full-length cloning, gene expression and functional analysis of the genes encoding insect OBPs. Then, in order to get a better understanding of the relationship between OBP structures and their ligands, homology modeling, molecular docking and site-directed mutagenesis have been conducted on OBPs in the present work.

2) The interactions between insects and plants - The oviposition preference of insect. - Behavioral response of insects to plant volatiles and different colors. - Effects of host plants on population increase and physiology changes.

3) The integrated insects pests management Apply different biological method, such as nematode, pheromone, plant volatiles, Bt, to control insect pests
