Insect ecology – Population and community ecology; nutritional, behavioral and chemical interactions between plants, herbivores and natural enemies.

Biological control - Conservation and utilization of naturally occurring predators and parasitoids and application of mass-produced natural enemies for control of insect pests.

Integrated pest management - IPM based on environment-friendly pest control.
