B.Sc.:    1980. 8-1984.7: Department of Plant Protection, Huazhong Agricultural University(HAU), Wuhan, China. Major subject: Plant Pathology.

M.Sc.:   1984.8-1987.8: Postgraduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (PGS, CAAS), Beijing, China. Major subject: Plant Nematology. M. Sc thesis is "Identification of major species and race of root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne hapla, M. arenaria) on peanut and morphology observations with SEM".

Ph.D. 1998.8-2001.7  Postgraduate School of China Agriculture University, Beijing, China. studied at China Agricultural University (west campus, former name was Beijing Agriculture University) supervised by Prof. Tang Wenhua (China) and Prof. Maurice Moens(Belgium). Major subject: Plant Nematology. Research area: Molecular biology and biological control for plant nematodes emphasize on cyst-forming nematode. Ph.D thesis title is “Studies on virulence, molecular diagnosis of cereal cyst nematode (Heterodera avenae) and soybean cyst nematode (Heterodera glycines) and biocontrol agents of nematode diseases”
