Dr. GAO Yulin was invited to be associate editor and subject editor, resp., for two international journals
Recently, Dr. GAO Yulin, the deputy director of the Department of Agricultural Insects, IPP, received invitations from Springer International Publishing AG for being an associate editor for Ecotoxicology and subject editor for Journal of Pest Science, in which he will be responsible for manuscripts in the areas of insect ecology, invasive/GMO risk assessment, insect toxicology, etc.
Ecotoxicology is an international journal founded by Springer International Publishing AG in 1992. It is an international flagging academic journal in the areas of ecotoxicology. It publishes mainly original papers and research articles in ecology, environment sciences, toxicology, etc. The scientific impact factor was 2.329 in 2015.
Journal of Pest Science (JPS) is an old international journal founded in 1925 by Springer International Publishing AG and has high academic influence in the areas of entomology. JPS publishes original papers and research articles in biology and ecology of insect pests in agriculture and forestry and the integrated pest management (IPM). The scientific impact factor was 3.103 in 2015.
Dr. GAO Yulin is mainly engaged in biology, ecology and IPM of invasive insect pest American Serpentine Leafminer (Liriomyza trifolii) and Western Flower Thrip (Frankliniella occidentalis), esp. in competition and displacement between invasive insect species, insect toxicology, and biological control. Dr. GAO has been invited to be associate editor, subject editor or member of editorial board for Pest Management Science, Biocontrol Science and Technology, Arthropod-Plant Interactions, Journal of Applied Entomology, Journal of Insect Science, PLOS ONE, Journal of Pest Science and Ecotoxicology due to the international influence of Dr. GAO’s work. His joining of these journals has enhanced the worldwide prestige and influence of IPP in the related areas of entomology.
