On April 25, 2019, the conference on Achievement Transformation Contribution Award of CAAS in 2018 was held in Chengdu, Sichuan province. At the conference, the model units and outstanding individuals were commended, and IPP was award-ed Model Units. DG ZHOU Xueping, on behalf of the award-winner, gave a speech titled “Accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, boosting the rural revitalization strategy”. He briefly introduced the main practices, outstanding achievements of IPP in promoting the transformation of achievements in recent years. DDG SHEN Yinshu and more than 20 scientists from IPP attended the meeting.

DG ZHOU Xueping pointed out that IPP has always attached great importance to the achievement conversion, built a platform, created a good atmosphere and en-couraged the mobilization of personnel to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. In recent years, the achievements of IPP have been continuously emerged, such as plant immune protein, microbial insecticides, natu-ral enemies and soil disinfection technologies, a series of plant protection green pre-vention and control technologies. IPP has effectively promoted the application of scientific and technological achievements, and achieved a double harvest of eco-nomic and social values. In 2018, 16 patents were transferred and licensed, and the income was more than 45 million yuan, which was increased by up to 66% com-pared to 2015.

DG ZHOU Xueping said that in 2019 IPP will continue to improve the management system for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, deepen the cooperation with the company of IPP and cooperative promotion of scientific and technological achievements transformation and vitalization in rural areas.
In addition, DG ZHOU Xueping also participated in the National Agricultural Sci-ence and Technology Achievements Transformation Conference and visited the achievement exhibition. A total of 34 institutes of CAAS have concentrated on the technologies and achievements, including a series of plant protection green preven-tion and control technologies of IPP.
