应玉米害虫创新研究组的邀请, 英国纽卡斯尔大学Angharad Gatehouse教授和杜伦大学教授John Gatehouse于7月10日-14日来我所进行访问与交流。       
       7月12日上午，John Gatehouse教授和Angharad Gatehouse教授在我所学术报告厅分别作了题为“Disruption of physiology in aphids by orally delivered recombinant proteins: new possibilities for crop protection” 和“Molecular responses in wheat to aphid infestation: A proteomics based approach”的学术报告,就利用寄主植物本身抗性基因创建重组蛋白，干扰害虫生理代谢，探索新的植物保护方法等方面的最新研究进展作了介绍，并与出席学术报告的科研人员和研究生进行了讨论和交流。
       John Gatehouse教授和Angharad Gatehouse教授来访进一步促进了双方已建立的良好合作关系。
