2008.08 – 2013.06   Postdoctoral Research Associate, Dept. of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, Rice University, USA.

2008.04 – 2008.08   Visiting Scientist, Dept. of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, Rice University, USA.
Research Area:

My research integrates the methods of bioinformatics, epigenetics, population genetics and phylogeography to investigate genetic basis of specific phenotypes and the interaction between gene and environment. This includes exploring the epigenetic mechanisms underlying seasonal reproduction in the Norway rat, identifying genes or gene mutations associated with anticoagulant resistance in mice and rats, and determining the origin and spread mode of mice and rats with specific traits. Our findings on adaptive introgression of warfarin resistance in the western European house mouse has been reported and highlighted by scientific media worldwide, including Science, BBC News, Discover Magazine etc.
