Nov., 2002-now:     Deputy director of Institute of Plant Protection, CAAS
Research Area:

I have been mainly working on biopesticide engineering including interrelationship between microbial protein and plant, biological protein detection and function study. I extensively study the molecular mechanism of protein elicitor induced systematic acquired resistance and growth promotion. In addition, I also work on microbial protein pesticide formulation and application technology for protein pesticide. Up to now we have isolated a microbial protein, which can activate plant resistance and enhance crop yield. We have purified the protein, obtained the amino-acid sequences and studied the protein construct. 3% wettable plant activate protein pesticide is registered for commercializatiom in Ministry of Agriculture in China (LS-20091262). It was honored to the Presidential Award of Green Chemistry Challenge by Environmental Protection Agency of United State in 2001. Patients on microbial protein pesticide were filed and approved in U.S.A. and/or China.
